From Lesley
In attendance: Betty, Ruth, Vivian, Jim, Lesley

Writers took a Lend-A-Hand Survey given by Laura, and began to write their Session 4 assessments for our writing group .

We started Session 5 with a little yoga breathing, two light stretches for the shoulders, arms, and fingers, and The Lion pose. Ruth suggested The Lion because she remembered it from her past yoga classes, some 30 years ago. Everyone in her class then was making faces at one another.

Ruth brought the coffee; it was delicious!

We discussed the Pima workshops and thought it might be better to bring a writing specialist  one of our own sessions, making one meeting a little longer. Seniors were concerned about the long days during the Pima weekend workshops. Vivian is interested in attending and will call Michele directly.

Time sped by… we talked some about the Raymond Carver story; Jim talked about the fact that Mary Oliver’s poems don’t rhyme; and Ruth read her latest chapter in her book (both of which are still in the works).

Until next time…
