Vicki was born in Kansas City, on the Missouri side, but her home has always been Tucson – she felt at home as soon as her family moved here right after she graduated from high school. She has traveled a lot and lived in several other places, but Tucson is her home.

Vicki was an elementary school teacher for 4 years and then a librarian at the University of Arizona for 31 years. Since she has retired, she is busy with yoga, gardening, visiting friends, walking her dogs, traveling and volunteering for Lend A Hand, the Community Food Bank, TMC Hospice, and Artifact Dance Project. She and her husband also manage a small yoga and meditation center in town called Three Jewels Tucson.

All of that keeps her pretty busy. Of all her activities, one of her favorites is the Senior Writing Group. She really enjoys all the other writers and their stories and, to her surprise, she has found that she enjoys writing her own stories each week.
