Sorrow

by Sally

Sorrow comes with sunshine. It starts out dark and gloomy. But as we try to bring it reason, it brings a brand new season. From dark and hurtful, our hearts cry out, “Why, oh my God?” Why does everyone say there’s always a lesson in our adventures, when the only lesson that is learned is to guard your heart – keep it from hurting more?

But then, again, we step right back in to the place that hurt, because, although we hurt with pain and words, our heart needs love, be it only through pain and words. It needs a love only God can give – forgiving, compassionate, merciful and truthful – with overwhelming love no one can provide, so pure and constant – no guessing, no doubt, but love ever so truthful and eternal.
