Our Trip to Northern California

by Ruth

It’s a beautiful day, warm sun shining, etc. It’s a happy day to be on our way to the fields and fields of flowers. We’re going up to northern California where they are having a festival. The endless fields of flowers, all kinds, are grown for a seed company.

There are zinnias, daffodils, nasturtiums, shimmering gently in the breeze. It’s a wonderful sight as we drive by. It stretches for miles, and just when you think that’s the end, there’s another huge field over the hill. It really takes your breath away.

Finally we decide to go back down and see the stands with exhibits of mixed artist’s work on display. Music is playing; children are running back and forth.

Now we come up to the food with all its wonderful smells and arrangements. We find a table under a big tree. After lunch and a little rest, we set off for home – tired but happy.
