I thought I’d write a letter to our friend and mentor, Lesley.
I’m not sure the regular mail in Japan is re-established yet. Due to my hearing I did not know you were going back to Japan until we were driving home. I’m sorry we did not get to say a proper good-bye.
I support your decision to return to your students and look forward to your return in mid June, with more tales and experiences, all good.
Now, about the water, as I told Jim, go ahead and boil the water, it may help. In the old days if the water was contaminated from a flood or other disaster, boiling was suggested. But we live in a new era without any guidelines, as you know.
I want to thank you for the gifts you gave me.
