This was in the fall and the weather was nice. My son-in-law decided it would be a nice place for me to get out and would be different. I got out at the track to noise that was different and wonderful. I had never been to a place like this in person. The smoke or fumes went high into the air. My son-in-law was excited to see my face of joy.
We purchased tickets and the stands were about full. Everyone in my family waved me up the bleachers. Two years before this I broke my leg, ankle and foot. The leg was broken down the shin bone.
The smiles on everyone’s faces were great. I started up the bleachers with all my pride. I slipped and fell 30 feet to the ground. 9-1-1 was called and said it was unbelievable – only one broken bone. It was my wrist with the bone coming through the skin. I went to St. Joseph Hospital for emergency surgery at 2:00 AM. They had to find me a doctor because of the hour of night.
The fall was breath taking. My family tires hard for me. But they claim I have no luck at all. I had some luck or could have died due to trauma.
