Being invited to see the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations was fabulous. I have lived in Tucson, Arizona since 1995. I had heard about Winterhaven, but never understood how a section of a city had something special. A van was donated by our writing group to tour the area. It was very organized as to drivers and walkers days.
Some people have passed this decoration tradition on for at least two generations or more. These people must have special storage areas to take care of all these decorations for the remainder of the year.
One home had penguins out in front. I had my grandson come over to see them. Some decorations had live televisions out in front to make decorations more meaningful to fit character. Another had a movie going.
Some of the decorations offered character as snowball machine. When driving through, looking out windows at decorations, a person sees the good things individuals can do. The world and the U.S.A. included should have more self discipline for something beautiful to see and enjoy. Thank you Winterhaven!
