It is indeed coming to pass; the wisdom of the LAH Senior Writers is being collated and published. ‘Tis not a project for the faint of heart; there are strong beliefs and feelings about what should and should not be included, how it should be organized, and how it should appear in print, literally and figuratively.
But what a learning experience it has been. Having perused the pages of the book, I was both inspired and awed by the writing, of course, but even more so by the lives that they portray. What adventurous souls have come to call Tucson their home. What a diversity of individuals share their stories in this slim volume. The contributors come from all walks of life: teachers, librarian, physician, entrepreneurs, gardeners, campers; from east, west, Midwest, north and south.
The wisdom imparted may not always be sage, but the essays and poetry reflect lives richly and well-lived. Thanks you all for continuing to enrich my life!
