Thanksgiving – Again

By Leslie

Thanksgiving, 2015. Another wonderful family time. ‘Tis the one time each (well almost each) year when two of our children, and their children, join us in Arizona.

And what a treat it was this year – five children – 16, 15, 14, 13 and 9 years old – flanking our table. Needless to say, the bounteous food was bounteously consumed!

My 15 year old granddaughter is a serious dancer. I only wish we could lure her from Portland to the outstanding dance program at the University of Arizona. We’re trying!

My super-bright 16 year old grandson – taking virtually all advanced and college courses in his junior year of high school – also patiently loaded all the children’s email addresses on my husband’s phone. Who knows, I might even send, courtesy of the voice function, an email or two to the grandchildren. And perhaps, just perhaps, wonder of wonders, I might get one back.

Regardless, I have so much to be thankful for. The memories of this Thanksgiving are just one more set of blessings for which I truly am eternally grateful.
