Sea Shells

By Leslie

I received a gift of sea shells yesterday what a perfect gift to send to me. A former neighbor and dear friend sent them from Florida, obtained during her recent trip to the beach. What memories they evoke.

I love the water. (Pisces is my Zodiac sign and so appropriate.) I used to swim virtually every day. And even now, when I cannot, the water is so soothing and transforming – even a bath.

Years ago my husband and I went to Sanibel Island, off the coast of Florida. We collected a variety of shells, many of which we still have today. We also collected shells during our several trips to Hawaii. Shells connect us to our beginnings, to our wanderings, to our past – and hint of the future. They are beautiful to behold and infinite in their variety.

Thank you, Judith, for this “virtual” trip to the beach – for the beauty with which you have enriched my life.
