. . . and afternoon. We have had simply glorious weather – balmy temperatures, sunny days, and just a trace of wind. These are the days the Lord has given us – beautiful. And we’ve earned them, after five long months of extremely hot weather.
But yesterday afternoon was even more special – I got to lie outside for the first time on my new custom wheelchair. Oh to inhale the outdoors, smell the air laden with the scent of flowers, herbs and trees. And, also to “supervise” the planting my husband was doing to replace the now faded summer blooms.
When one is denied the simple pleasures – of sitting, standing, walking – the “work-arounds” become ever so much more meaningful. I am ever so grateful to my husband, Bill, who designed and pushed forward the construction of my special chariot. Because of his work and never giving up, I can look forward to many more “beautiful mornings” . . . . and afternoons.
Come join me.
