Twenty (1958)

by LD Kennedy

I count from one to ten
Then count it again.
Years bright, shiny as a penny
Added together make twenty.

Heartaches we were not spared
Happy moments we’ve shared.
Twenty years, multiplied one to another
Making a happy son, father, mother.
