Dec 15, 2008
Normally I write about the week gone by, but this time it’s about winter
In December we think about — bells, Christmas trees, ornaments, lights, tinsel, Jingle Bells, Christmas carols, reindeer, snow, presents, St. Nick, candy canes, egg nog, Santa Claus. . .
And in January, it’s kisses, hugs, funny hats, whistles, horns, fireworks, gun shots, confetti
. . . and Jim’s birthday.
Then comes February — Valentine’s cards, ribbons, bows, kisses, boxes of candy, flowers, and my favorite tomato plants.
And that, my friends, is winter in Tucson, Arizona.
