Good Morning

by Jim

About two years ago, I wrote “Thank You,” a funny little word (or two). It was about words that we don’t hear much of, anymore. Like “Thank You,” “Please,” “Sorry,” and “Good Morning.”

I’ve been going in the same coffee shop for years and years. I go at the same time, see the same people, at the same tables. Lately, I’ve noticed that I get the same nods, grunts, and smiles, when I say “Good Morning.”

There is one man that sits at the counter, and as I walk in he says, “Good Morning.” But at this rate, I’ll be older than Methuselah when I get all these people just to say two simple words – “Good Morning.”
