I glanced out the window, just as the sun came up and saw a little red car going well over the speed limit. It hit a speed bump at a high rate of speed. I could see the whole under carriage of the car – the muffler, tail pipe and all the other parts. As it crashed to the ground, the car headed right for my house.
“Oh no,” I thought. The lady driving the car whipped the steering wheel to the right side. The car responded. With the tires screaming, the car headed for the white Cadillac parked on the other side of the street. She saw it just in time and pulled the wheel to the left. She continued down the street.
In all my years that was the best piece of driving I had ever seen – considering she was driving with one hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the cell phone.
