A while back I was looking for a 32” TV at a good price. I told a friend to look for a good sale. He worked in the mall, so it was easy for him to check on the sales. He called me one day and said, “You’ve got to see this.” Before long he drove in. “Let’s go,” he said.
As I walked in the store, I saw a huge sign – “26” TV, only $303.00.” “No, that’s not it,” he said. We walked to the back of the store. One TV was playing and the rest were in boxes. They had small signs on them saying, “Dynex 32” flat screen – $240.00.” Wow, a bigger screen for $60.00 less.
A salesman came up to me and said, “I think these are marked wrong.” I was putting one in the cart and he was calling a manager. A man with a suit and tie showed up. “Oh, no,” he said. “Get those signs down.”
He looked at me. I smiled. He said, “This is your lucky day.” He wrote up the ticket – $259.20 total with tax.
Then I went to the cashier. A young man said, “Credit or debit?” I said, “Cash.” He looked at me and said very loud, “CREDIT OR DEBIT?” I said, “CASH.” I waved some bills in the air. The man next to him pointed to a cash register. I think he said, “Oh.”
At the door you had to show your receipt. The man looked at it, then the box, back at me, and said, “Cash?”
