What a party! Celebrating the fifth anniversary of Lend-a-Hand in Tucson. Congratulations Michele on your caring heart. Thanks to all your staff, volunteers, drivers. You each make such a real difference to us elderly, home bound, or lonely.
The tables were inviting, encouraged people to share with people we sometimes didn’t know. Smiles lit up the room and formed memories to take home with us.
The music was lively – the enthusiastic girls, the patient musician who played in the background. The two brave women who danced. ‘Twas great fun. A genuine sharing of Lend-A-Hand.
The treats were awesome. Too artistic to eat, too tempting to pass by. Sandwiches – huge and wee, fresh fruit of many colors, pastries that were delicious, cakes, cookies, candies – you had it all.
The greatest surprise and the enduring support was the unexpected “Spirit Kit” – more than a kit, more than a gift, it’s a promise of hope along life’s travels.
What a concept.
And more, it really works.
