The Question

Is anger or protest the answer to personal or political problems?

Anger never solved any problem. Anger requires energy better spent listening to the problems. Most problems have two sides. It may be both sides are wrong. Listening may spark a discovery-a notion that maybe there is another way. Sometimes a new day can change the appearance of the real problem and a possible solution may appear.

Speaking up with an opinion is a constitutional right. The problem comes from speaking on top of one another. It becomes a riot. No one is heard and too often someone is hurt.  And no problem is solved, personal or political.

Perhaps the answer is so obvious and so difficult people ignore it. Simple: treat another the way you wish to be treated. Then lead by example.

No one said it was easy. But it works.
