Be patient, the monsoon is coming. It’s all around us, just planning to drop in one day soon.

The desert air will smell fresh. The washes will flood and make for danger and detours. The wild flowers are waiting for a drink. The campgrounds may be deserted and wet. The fire danger may lessen barring lightening. Eight muddy paws will knock on the door. People will sit on the porch and count the raindrops as they fall – gently or fierce.

Count your blessings as they fall. The monsoon is worth the wait.
