A dramatic, unexpected car breakdown is not for senior citizens like me!
Four blocks from the Safeway store, the red light flashes on in my elderly Lincoln. Four blocks to go when mist was clouding the windshield. I sorta coasted into a parking place and gray smoke turned to black smoke I could smell. Tried to backup to get in the parking spot correctly, and no engine turned on.
A stranger came running over, “Get out! You’re on fire.” So it was 103o, no cellphone to call for help, no neighbors home to call. An hour-and-a-half for help to arrive – it never came. Tried the car – turned over – I drifted home.
Two blocks from my driveway, the red light was on, the smoke filled the air, the steering wheel locked, and I coasted into – almost into the carport.
Home at last –
Anyone want a car?

You definitely need a cell phone. That way you could have called for a cab or the police.

You not only need a cell phone. You need a new car.
